Lord of the Flies Costume Design
This production consisted of three acts, which meant I need each character singular costume to go through 3 deteriorations. The director wanted it to take place on a jungle gym, where the children’s imagination takes over and it morphs into a real jungle. He also wanted to gender swap roles. I wanted to tell my story through color. The color palette would consist of white and reds. White meaning innocence, and red being danger, energy, and desire. I thrifted, borrowed, or hand made almost everything in this production with a crew of 5 peers.
Budget Spent: $238 on fabric and thrift
